Neutrogena Anti Residue Shampoo

Hi Guys!

I know many of you love to try drugstore products and I am sure you will love this one. Treat this as a detox for your hair. If you don’t have time to make a hair mask for yourself and want something quick. This is just fro you. I found this at QFC where I was just going through their shampoo collection. Not sure if this has been in the market for long but I saw it for the first time.

This is the first time I have tried a Neutrogena hair product. Before I say more about this product let me give you a background about my hair – my hair is curly and long & bit dry.  I use  moose, hairspray ,frizz ezz, not to mention conditioner, there is always some layer on my hair. This will help to clean them

How to use it:

I thoroughly scrub this through my hair in every 10 days or so and then leave on a deep conditioner for 5-10 minutes. I would not advise using this more than once a week (unless you want completely fried hair). Oily hair people you can try this more than once a week. Dry hair people not a great idea.

What this does is clean off all the build-up that your shampoos/conditioners/hair products leave on the hair. If you have experienced routinely more greasy hair after using one shampoo/conditioner for an extended period of time, you have experienced product build-up! If you often have to switch shampoos to keep your hair consistent, you have experienced product build-up! This product IS FOR YOU!

My hair felt lighter after using this. What I didn’t love about the product was the smell. It is a strong musky, manly smell. It lingered in my hair even after drying and throughout the day. This costed me $5.82 and will recommend

Thanks for reading this. Let me know if you have tried this before?

Love,

T&S

Using it for the first time – Epilators

If you have not used an epilator, I know what will be your first question – does it pain? Well if you are comfortable doing the waxing and you don’t feel the pain or you are ok with the pain, then epilating is just same. But all you razor using women I doubt ! I have not used a razor so can’t tell you the difference.

If you have never heard of epilation, let me explain it to you.

Epilation is a method of hair removal that removes hair at the root, for example waxing or plucking. I’m going to try using an epilator. This is a machine that looks like a ladies’ electric razor, but instead of the hairs being sliced off, they are plucked out, usually by a system of rotating discs.

Philips Satinelle Epilator

There are loads of different types of epilators you can find in the market or online. I got mine after doing several researches on Amazon. Finally I settled for Philips Satinelle Epilator HP6421/00, Legs & Body. Here is the list of its features :-

  • Two speed settings for gentle epilation and maximum performance
  • Gentle tweezing discs remove hairs without pulling the skin
  • Profiled, ergonomic grip for comfortable handling and remove hairs as short as 0.5 millimeters
  • Sensitive area cap for bikini line and underarms, cleaning brush to remove loose hairs from epilator discs
  • Washable epilation head for extra hygiene and easy cleaning
  • 2 years Philips India warranty from the date of purchase

Using an epilator was not a painful experience for me as I thought it to be. The best part of keeping an epilator is you can remove your hair at any point of time. You don’t have to be depended on a salon or at times of emergency 😉 It’s totally hygienic and less messy. Its light weight and travel friendly!

If you ask me for some tips or Do’s n Don’ts, here is the list:-

  • Plan your first try at epilating when you don’t have to expose the epilated skin for at least 24-hours, just in case you have a reaction. Very important
  • Exfoliates your skin first before using it. If you are running short of time then you can sprinkle the skin with talcum powder before epilating
  • Moisturize after epilating.

Moroccan Escape wonder Oil

Marks & Spencer one of the UK’s leading unveiled its Global Escape Collection, which included a new bath, body and lifestyle collection. The range contains a Moroccan Escape line with a bitter orange fragrance, and Eastern Escape line featuring an oriental cherry blossom scent, uses ingredients Argan Oil and green tea extract. Out of this, I bought their Moroccan Escape wonder oil. Yes, Moroccan oil I have been in love with this lately! Smile

Marks & Spencer Moroccan Escape wonder Oil

The packaging is not user friendly. It’s a very heavy bottle with no pump. One has to be really be careful while taking out the oil. It might slip or fall. The worst part is that it’s a glass bottle!

You can use this oil for your hair and body. The instruction at the back says you can’t use it on your face. The oil smells amazing and it’s very light. It makes your skin soft and plump. If you have dry hair and use a bit after shampooing then the hair texture becomes very shiny.

Over all a good buy. You can get this product at any out of Marks & Spencer. The bottle costs Rs.999 ($15).
