I can’t believe May is already over! It has been such a crazy month for me with my dance rehearsals and stage shows. So here is my first post of the month and without blabbering much I will start with my review.
My prolonged hunt for a matte long-wearing lipstick led me to Bobbi Brown Art Stick in Brown Berry. An interesting concept of Lipstick meets liner. A two-in-one color in an on-the-go package that delivers a punch of color to lips.
What it does:
‘This chunky pencil glides on effortlessly and delivers a creamy matte finish to instantly step up any look. The perfect blend of emollients and shea butter creates a rich creamy texture that allows for smooth and effortless application with incredibly comfortable wear. The enclosed sharpener ensures a precision application every time.’
I got this beautiful brown berry shade for $28 from Sephora. Strange that this is my first experience with Bobbi Brown’s Art Sticks which was launched last year but I am screaming for more of them! I have a cool undertone ( Medium – Fair) and this looks just perfect on me. One of the representative at Sephora told me that this color works for all skin tone. So all you people who are looking for that perfect nude shade this is the one
We have see so many chunky, chubby lip pencils in the market but what makes it so different is this is actually a Pencil. Yes it is! They are not like the other twit up lip pencils that are available in the market. You have to sharpen them. Guess the old fashion lip pencils are back 🙂
Bobbi Brown describes the finish as “creamy matte,” which is pretty accurate. A light application will yield a semi-matte finish, while the color delivers a satin finish with a very subtle sheen. They are super duper creamy texture that glides across lips easily and flawlessly leaving behind opaque color on a single swipe. These are perfect for those that are not patient enough to apply lipstick and prefer lip pencils.
It wears well through coffee and meals and the best part is it fades prettily. Though I have to say that I wanted more longevity. It doesn’t dry out my lips at all.It sits very comfortable on the lips without migrating to other areas. For those who prefer to streamline, the pencil works nicely as both liner and lipstick. Even when the point has worn down and become rounded, I can easily line my lips. If your lips are very thin, this may be more of a problem for you, but then again, it may not.
Thank you for reading this. Let me know if you have tried any other colors?
